Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum

This award-winning museum is based in Lisburn’s oldest building, the 17th century Market House, bringing to life the history of the Irish linen industry and its importance to Lisburn. Visitors can see daily demonstrations of hand spinning and hand-loom weaving, whilst admiring the treasured collection of damask linen and costumes.

There is a changing programme of temporary exhibitions which includes themes of local history, artworks and textiles. Regular children’s activities include craft workshops and trails.
